Cape May offers a great family vacation atmosphere with fun beaches, fine dining, several area golf courses and many other family entertainment venues. Atlantic City is approximately a 45 minute drive from Cape May, which offers the closest major airport in the region as well as the obvious casino gaming. A much closer drive is our neighboring resort island, the Wildwoods, which boasts one of the nation's largest boardwalks and amusement piers.

Cape May's premiere natural resource is its' beachfront. The city's beaches have been ranked among the nation's best and cleanest. Our beaches serve as host to a variety of special events, including twice having hosted the United States Lifesaving Association's National Championships. Many additional lifeguard competitions, Ironman competitions and marathons take place here. Dolphin watching is a more laid back, but daily, event on the beachfront as well. All of the city's beaches are carefully guarded by a well trained and professional team of lifeguards.

Sugarplum Cottage is an 1880's Victorian which has been totally upgraded with new kitchens and bathrooms, central heat and air conditioning. Located just a half block to the beach and a half a block to the Washington Street Mall, the center of the town's shopping and restaurant district, Sugar Plum Cottage's address is 114 Decatur Street. And even though this center city location is in the middle of everything, with off street parking and a one way street, you will enjoy a quiet, peaceful setting for your family vacation or getaway with friends.
